How to Apply
It is anticipated there will be considerable competition for places in the Certificate in Community Media, so it is advisable to reserve your place early by applying/pre-registering well before the applications closing date.
The following sections outline how to apply for a place in the Certificate in Community Media.
I. Entry Requirements
Applicants to the Certificate in Community Media are required to have:
Satisfactorily completed secondary education;

A minimum of two years' relevant professional work experience;

Proficiency in English - Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in Enlish, e.g., by having English as a first language, or by having completed secondary or tertiary education in an institution where English is the language of instruction, or by achieving a satisfactory score in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) http://www.ielts.org or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) http://www.ets.org/toefl
II. Required Application Materials
The materials you need for your application are:

Certificate in Community Media application form in electronic format (after completing it, you can print out a copy for your reference);

A copy of your birth certificate;

A copy of your marriage certificate, if the name on your transcript differs from your current name because of marriage;

Employment certification letter(s) verifying at least two years of professional work experience which must include job title and dates of employment. (Download template: Word, pdf);

Evidence of proficiency in English;

Academic transcript/s.
III. Application Process
All application forms MUST be submitted electronically.

Complete and submit the online form (the link at end of these instructions will lead you to the application form);

Submit supporting documents by any of the following means:
Scanned copies may be sent electronically with your application;
Originals may be faxed to the Program on Communication Information for Development office at: (246) 421 6753;
Physical copies may be mailed to the address given in the Contacts page.
IV. The Results of Your Application
The University will assess your suitability for the course and, if you applied before the application closure date, will notify you of the decision no later than one month before the start of the course. Scholarship decisions will be announced at that time.
Students who are currently undertaking a UWI program: please note that UWI regulations prohibit a student from being registered for two program at UWI simultaneously.
